Superior Vena Cava
The superior vena cava brings de-oxygenated blood from the head and upper body into the right atrium of the heart.
Inferior Vena Cava
The inferior vena cava also brings de-oxygenated blood from the body to the heart, except from the legs and lower torso of the body.
The superior vena cava is the large vein which returns blood to the heart from the head, neck and both upper limbs. The inferior vena cava returns blood to the heart from the lower part of the body. The structure bordering the superior vena cava include the trachea, aorta, thymus, right bronchus of the lung and pulmonary artery
