Flash Card 2

To perform CPR correctly, the adult must be lying on his back. If this is not the case, carefully turn him on his back and be sure the surface is flat.

Make sure the victim is lying on a flat surface.

CPR Fact

It may be possible that the victim has suffered a serious neck injury, so be careful while moving him or turning him on his back. Position the injured person on his or her back, being extremely careful not to move or twist the head, neck or spine. If several rescuers are present, use their assistance to minimize this possible danger.
